Roan? A friend? Entirely possible, actually. Roan's loyalty generally lies where the coin does, but that does not mean that over time he cannot develop a bond with someone. But it does mean that if push comes to shove, the coin will most likely win over whoever has come close(ish) to him. But if someone does manage to mean enough to him to overcome the power of coin? They will have one of the most dangerous, powerful, and loyal allies of all time. One who would literally do whatever it takes to ensure victory, or survival, for his allies. But this is no easy task; the Dragon, old as he is, is still not very old in comparison to others of his kind, but in his time he has had a horribly scarring past. There are many barriers one need climb over to reach the center of Roan's being. Roan does not respond well to betrayal, either. Of any sort. Even if at the end of the day it is for his own good, the person responsible for orchestrating the backstab will face the full wrath of his ire--perhaps even enough to cause him to change into his Dragon form once more? Only time will tell.
