SITE PLOT
HOPE PLAYS A WICKED, GAME WITH THE MIND. CAUSE' I THOUGHT THAT LOVE WOULD BIND. I CANNOT REVIVE WHAT'S ALREADY DROWNED.
Nearly two years have passed since the Hantaviruses that swept through the human kingdom of Ostlea, decreasing the population by nearly 25%. A new king has risen to power and sits high upon his throne. The Cosa Nostra, drug rich mafia families, has replaced the human militia. Soldiers who protest are thrown in jail or sent out in exile. Beneath the streets of the capital rallies a rebellion known as the Rorret.
The Blackburn Mines, a neutral territory for all the races, have gone under siege by the Cosa Nostra. The mob desires the iron ore for weapons to strengthen their hold in Ostlea. Once the peace keepers of the mines, the giants are outraged that their prided duty was squandered with so little a thought. After the War of Teeth nearly a century ago, the elves believe it wise to turn their cheek in feigned ignorance. The dragons had dealt a heavy blow to their homeland, one they cannot afford again. Tensions with the dragons still run high.
The Dominion, a dragon cult known for their especially violent methods, is attempting to gather itself up from the ashes and seek the extermination of the elven race. They wish for more radical changes within dragon law and feel relocating the capital is the first order of business-rumor has it their eyes are set upon the weakened state of Ostlea.
Meanwhile, shifters who refuse to 'hide' their gifts are imprisoned and deemed a public hazard. A weighty reward has been priced for their heads. After all, they are a subcategory of men-not fully human but not quite animal either. What worth are they in these politically troubled times?
Rumors ghost of a potential salvation. Could the undine be guarding a buried secret? Is there more than sand at the bottom of Laroona Lake? Storms have been prevalent in the waters as of late, and a thicker mist encircling the surface. Some hold belief that dark magic is at work beneath the ripples.
