[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,background:url(http://i.imgur.com/rhsddFN.gif); width: 300; height: 300; padding: 25px;] DEMURE. WARM. PASSIONATE eleanor hobbs She's blackenin' my name My army never came It's water under the bridge Be careful who you tell. Whoa 'Cause you gotta look her in the eye, And you gotta love your way of life. 'Cause you got a guilty filthy soul Don't you know it's out of your control? Whoa SUMMARY As the sole provider for her siblings, Eleanor serves as lady-in-waiting to the Princess Celandine Ostlea as a means to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. Outwardly, she appears every inch the hardworking surrogate mother, attempting to fill the void that was left in the wake of her parents' death. What most remain unaware of, however, is that she is also in league with the Rorret - an underground rebellion in opposition to the King - and that she lives a double life beyond her duty as a guardian to both her family and the Princess. Her astonishing capabilities as a Healer and proficiency in Regeneration magic are also kept relatively hush-hush, although she isn't quite sure how much longer she will be able to keep such information a secret. FRIENDS AND ALLIES - Since the sudden death of her mother and father, Eleanor has severed ties with most of her former friends and correspondents. Instead, she keeps to herself and focuses all of her energy into her work. This, paired with the fact that she cares for all four of her younger siblings single-handedly means that she is left with little free time. It isn't as though she chooses to be unsociable. In fact, if given the opportunity, Eleanor could have likely rose to the same pinnacle of popularity as her mother had. Unfortunately her priorities and responsibilities don't allow for that. And so she is restricted to the castle or her small house in the city. From dawn until dusk she is fussing over someone or something, thus, her list of acquaintanceships and connections are lacking. Still, you can be sure that she's befriended another serving maid or two in the castle, and perhaps even a fellow member of the Rorret. ENEMIES AND RIVALS - Anyone who has pledged their loyalty to the Cosa Nostra, for a start. After all, they stand for everything that conflicts with her own moral code. King Cyprian is another who has fallen into Eleanor's disfavor, mostly due to his poor display of leadership and the lack of affection he treats his children to. Other courtiers and members of nobility are often avoided, and she doesn't go out of her way to step on any toes. At least not in any manner that is obvious. Even so. Cowards, liars, thieves and womanizers are all individuals that Eleanor finds unsavory and will not hesitate to attempt to put in their place should they attempt to take advantage of her or her family in any way. LOVERS AND ROMANCE - Another tricky category. Eleanor has established very strong feelings in terms of love and the unromantic notions that constitute marriage in current society. In fact, one might even go so far as to say her behavior and opinions are feministic in nature. It isn't as though she hates men simply for their gender, or that she generalizes them based on secondary experiences. She simply doesn't believe she needs a man by her side in order to find success or happiness. She has come this far on her own after all, why would she stoop so low as to marry someone she does not love simply for a sense of security? This doesn't keep her from daydreaming by any means. Love simply isn't on her list of priorities. |

ELEANOR && FAYNEAlrighty--not too sure how these would meet or how often it would be but should it happen, Fayne would probably admire how responsible Eleanor is and the amount of dedication she puts into her work. ELEANOR && REMYRemy and Eleanor are probably more likely to meet as Remy enjoys frequenting cities for his 'work'. I can see him probably trying to con Eleanor and then getting both intrigued and annoyed if it doesn't work. So potential snarky friendship/acquaintanceship there. ELEANOR && RAEGGOSWelp, this one is easy! :'D //shot
Since Raeggos is about as cray cray as one can get, I think we can pretty much say that they're enemies. If he's in one of his more lucid spiels, I can see him sort of being interested by her independence--at least until he jumps to the conclusion that she's out to get him. Looking at Eleanor's profile, she seems to dislike sorcerers/soothsayers because of their powerful magic, and though Raeggos is a summoner, it was his magic that drove him cray-cray so he might cement her views on powerful magic (a'a soothsaying/sorcerers and whatnot) being bad/needing training..

FAYNE & ELEANOR - Eleanor has a certain fascination with fantastical creatures. Namely, her love for dragons. I'm sure that if she and Fayne were to somehow meet she would be entirely awe-struck and would attempt to ask her a hundred questions at once, and then realize that she'd likely scared the Undine girl half to death. Regardless, she'd be gentle and friendly and would be thrilled to be able to converse with her.
REMY & ELEANOR - Yes. Eleanor doesn't take being tricked or mislead lightly. And she's lived within the city and dealt with enough of its con artists to recognize one when she sees one. She's always been a highly intelligent, incredibly perceptive woman. Whether she'd call him out on it or attempt to engage in some sort of game of cat-and-mouse however, I'm not sure. We'd have to throw them into a thread together and see what happens!
RAEGGOS & ELEANOR - She would find his presence incredibly unnerving. At least at first, and especially once she discovers that he's a summoner whose magic has afflicted him. Those blessed with magic and who are unable to control their power have always disturbed Eleanor. Again, it's difficult to say how they'd get along until we have them interact. But for the most part she wouldn't trust him until she managed to dig a bit deeper to understand what makes him tick. It should be noted, of course, that she wouldn't be intentionally cruel to him. Unless he instigated it.

ELEANOR && FAYNELol, yeah, getting questiooned non stop woul definitely intimidate Fayne XD Once she got over her initial timidness though, I can totes see Fayne asking the same of Eleanor--she's really curious about the surface world and considering the only person she's met so far has been Lachlan, she doesn't have much to go on besides that surface dwelling men are scary and have lovely things called 'stubble' she really is fixated on that. If they meet, I can probably see Fayne asking Eleanor if she grows stubble too. And then being disappointed when she finds out she doesn't. XD ELEANOR && REMYHaha, a game of cat and mouse would probably be fun--and Remy would definitely be interested in her if that was the case. He's a bit weird in the fact that even though he's a con artist, he likes it when people make it hard for him to work--something about the harder the catch, the sweeter the spoils. That, and he thinks it helps prove his worth as a con-artist XD
Throwing them in a thread together would definitely be interesting~ :D
ELEANOR && RAEGGOSIt'd be interesting to have someone see if they could find what makes Raeggos tick :D Crazy as he is, he craves company the spirits in his head don't exactly count but he's very tetchy. I think if Eleanor started digging deeper, Raeggos'd probably just flip or go on a tirade, which would be fun :'D //totally not mean to her characters. nope, not a bit. >__> ...and since Ygritte has been accepted...... :'D ELEANOR && YGRITTEAlrighty, since Ygritte is a Cosa Nostra enforcer and Eleanor is part of the Rorret, they probably won't be the best of friends XD That said, Ygritte's only reason for joining the Cosa Nostra is because they promised her help in finding her children and they got her out of prison. The only reason she's still with them is because she doesn't want to go back to said prison, and needs their assistance in searching for her kids--she has no loyalty to them aside from that and doesn't really care for the Rorret or the Cosa Nostra themselves. They're just two sides of the same coin to her, so at least on Ygritte's part, she'd see Eleanor with a sort of detached caution--yes, Eleanor is a Rorret, but as long as Ygritte isn't on duty, she won't raise a hand against Eleanor.

FAYNE & ELEANOR - Aw! Haha. That actually sounds adorable. I think if they gave one another a chance and overlooked their differences, they could actually become good friends. Eleanor would find her precious, although I'm not entirely sure how they'd meet. I'm sure we'll figure something out eventually, regardless.
REMY & ELEANOR - Haha. This is going to be most interesting! I think eventually she might find herself amused by him, though she'd never go so far as to stroke his ego by admitting as much. She enjoys a good verbal spar every now and again, and is intrigued by people who are able to spin stories. Granted, he seems to use this talent to reach a more mischievous end than Eleanor would like. In any case, I could always join the open thread you have ready for him and see where that goes?
RAEGGOS & ELEANOR - Eleanor isn't generally someone who likes to pry into someone else's business, but if Raeggos provokes her, she'll figure she automatically has the right to pursue and badger him. I really, really want to thread these two. I'm just not sure where they'd bump into one another. And it'd probably be best to start off initiating some sort of conflict between them. A petty squabble or some such thing. Obviously enjoy tormenting my characters as well
YGRITTE & ELEANOR - Yeah, they definitely won't start as friends. But I have the distinct feeling that if they were ever to discover one another's history and reasons for belonging to their respective groups, I think they'd actually be able to form a strong kinship. After all, they share similar goals, and that is protecting the ones that they love. Where Ygritte's is her children, Eleanor's is her younger siblings. They actually have a lot more in common than they realize. So I'm really looking forward to seeing where we can go with these two.

ELEANOR && FAYNEHaha, they probably could~ I'm not too sure how they'd meet either as Eleanor seems to be cooped up in the city while Fayne is near the lake but I think once Fayne gets her courage up she might travel a bit further. Ashvale is the closest town to the Lake so perhaps they might be able to meet there maybe with Eleanor on Rorret business or something? ELEANOR && REMYLol, if she ever admitted she was amused by him that would def send Remy's ego soaring XD He's a bit of a vain one and tends to act like a peacock at times~ :'D Any verbal sparring is definitely going to pique his interest as he tends to enjoy people with brains rather than , as he calls them 'mindless slugs.'
And feel free to jump in the open thread if you want~ :3 It'll be fun to see how they interact :D and Remy can get his snark on >3 ELEANOR && RAEGGOSLol, well Raeggos won't have any trouble starting a conflict XD He's tetchy even on his best days so all it will take is one word before he'll snap at her. being sleep deprived probably doesn't help his temper. As for bumping, in my headcanon, Raeggos lives in the wastelands (far away from prying eyes, where he can keep to himself and few dare to enter) but he ventures out towards the woods and cities to find his 'happy herb' so perhaps they can meet on one such excursion? The main city of Ostlea where the royal family resides would be a bit too much for Raeggos as he doesn't like noises (not to mention he's fairly well known considering there aren't too many crazy elves in the world) but I can see him heading into one of the smaller towns like Ashvale or Marshwall owo
As for the conflict itself, I can totes see Raeggos starting trouble or mumbling to himself as he searches the market and then snapping at whoever he comes in contact with. Maybe they can bump into each other in the literal manner and Raeggos snaps at Eleanor? ELEANOR && YGRITTEYeah, I can see them forming a strong bond as well once they get pas the whole Rorret/Cosa Nostra business and figure out the reasons in it. Ygritte would really admire that Eleanor is standing up for her siblings at such a young age, and would probably (in advertantly) try to mother her considering Eleanor is only 3 years older than Ygritte's son (who would be 17).
Defintely looking forward to seeing how they'd interact--I think we could probs get some good character development out of these too, and at last from Ygritte's standpoint, I'd like to see how she'd view someone in a semi-similar position (in it for family).
Also, this would probs be a lot farther downt he way, but I think if they became close enough friends and Eleanor managed to convince Ygritte that the Rorret could help her more than the Cosa Nostra, Ygritte might end up changing loyalties. She does after all, hold no ties the Cosa Nostra themselves and is only there for convenience.

Post by LADY PHERENE OF OSTLEA on Apr 13, 2013 10:45:34 GMT -5
ELEANOR & PHERENE Why hello there! :D I'm certain that at some point in time these two have run into one another but I can't imagine that they would be on good terms. More often than not, Pherene carries about her a holier-than-thou attitude. Which, I would suspect, makes it easy for the staff of the castle to dislike her. Also, Pherene would be jealous of Eleanor for being very close to Celandine -- likely closer than she ever could be. Somewhere, underneath her snarky smiles and caustic comments, Pherene greatly respects Eleanor for how devoted she is to taking care of her siblings. However, it would be unlikely that Pherene ever lets that respect show.

Ella && Lachlan Ella :3 As we've discussed in pm's these two will clash. Yay. As Eleanor is quite independent and Lachlan suffers the delusion she should kiss his feet they're definitely a fun pair. He'd act all gruff like he doesn't really care, but I believe he does in fact care quite a lot. More than he'd ever dare to admit. But she'd have a way of getting under his skin like a bad itch, no matter how hard he goes to scratch she's there to stay. add/subtract/delete?
