Feel free to change the first and middle names of characters. Do not change the surnames. Those with no magic, have no magic, no exceptions. If a character does have magic and you would like to change it to a different kind, that is acceptable. A character's affiliation is also changeable.

The second eldest child of the late King Ferdinand, Cyprian sits high upon his throne with red-rimmed eyes. His mother, the second wife of Ferdinand, died when he was ten of cardiac complications (she was beautiful but of frail health). As a child he was fiercely doted upon and forced through strict tutoring, restricted time outdoors, and vast physical training. He was never allowed sweets. The young king has legalized the mafia, Cosa Nostra, who have now overtaken military forces. Though spoiled and selfish Cyprian is not terribly unkind but wrapped in a childish mindset of living the way he sees fit; do not dare tell him otherwise.

Unable to lift a sword she sells her rings to aid the Rorret, claiming the jewels have become unsatisfactory (something not uncommon amongst noble women).

She is betrothed to Lord Symund Mallowburne though continues to live within the castle until after the wedding ceremony.

He has only briefly met his fiancé, the Lady Pherene. He breeds stallions for gambling races; his stables are full of mighty horses that fetch a fair price.

The only surviving child, Catherine is quite used to getting her way. Spoiled, pampered, but highly observant she is a lethal flower. She enjoys tea, riding, and a good novel. Despite her mean attitude she is incredibly reliable and knows the difference between right and wrong, she merely acts upon her own benefit. She was married to Lord Cadimir at 19; after five years she divorced him. It was a shock amongst the nobles. Divorce was rare (except for the king), but a woman divorcing her husband even rarer. She claimed him an insufficient lover and ‘lacking essentials’ the reason she has been unable to produce a child. Catherine portrays an air of calmness but beneath she is beginning to panic; will the noblemen buy her accusations, or is she truly incapable of birth?

Unlike many nobles, Cadimir is quite gentle and treats everyone equally. He is fair and reasonable and does his best to follow his duty. One of his major flaws is being a pushover; he strives for the happiness of others and sacrifices himself in the process (what his younger sister deems a martyr complex). His divorce from Lady Catherine has left Cadimir utterly crushed, though he braves it with a smile claiming it was for the best. He is an awkward man with a quirky sense of humor; often he trips over his own two feet. Cadimir is not incredibly smart or strong, but his heart is pure gold. He fears the Rorret but feels he can no longer suffer the king’s rule.

Younger sister to Lord Cadimir, the Lady Ellowyn much prefers to be called ‘Ell.’ She is quite feisty and rejects the traditional customs of womanhood. She delights in riding, the one thing she and her former sister-in-law shared in common, but detests books and educational methods. Above all else she holds honor sacred and is a proud female. Her attention is hard to focus on any one thing and her head is in the clouds. She is naïve and does not know her boundaries. Ellowyn is blunt and to the point and fails to grasp subtleties. The divorce of her brother enrages Ellowyn, who views it as a cruel hit to their family’s pride. In the depths of her mind she plots revenge against Catherine. Many nobles turn their nose up at Ellowyn’s eccentric behavior and view her as an outcast. She doesn’t mind and takes company in the spirits that roam about her family’s estate, using her summoning to communicate with the dead. Often she speaks with ghosts and seeks their advice; unfortunately she suffers from insomnia because of this. Ellowyn also has the tendency to blur reality and finds herself entwined within the spirit world.

A young and attractive noble (don’t you forget it!), Julius is rather fond of games. Trusting him will be your biggest mistake. He’s manipulative, sly, and has a vast stock of wealth that permits any legal blunder to go unnoticed. But why? Julius is not a cruel man who seeks delight out of the suffering of others. That isn’t him in the slightest. He’s bored. And terribly lonely too. There’s nothing to do except hunt and sit in a large and empty manor that’s good only for perfecting echoes. He’s a troublemaker, yes that’s true, but he yearns for adventure and to do something with his dutiful life. So he likes to play it big? You only live once.

He believes the world has gone to the dogs. Cranky, short-tempered, Marcus is full of surprising wisdom. He dabbles in poetry and in his youth was quite famous for it. When he was 30 he lost his wife during childbirth His daughter has been missing for years, swallowed by the enchanted woods.

She is a stark contrast to her father, but always manages to bring laughter to his lips. Unfortunately due to her overly trusting and inquisitive nature she was lost to the enchanted forest. But is that where she was truly lost? Is she even lost at all? Her fate is currently unknown. Lord Marcus offers a grand reward for her return.

She yields the privilege regeneration and is a spy for the Rorret. Eleanor knows firsthand the misdoings within the castle and cannot simply stand by and watch it happen. She needs to make it better for her brothers and sisters.

He is a quiet type who minds his own business; it is very difficult to make him angry. People tend to avoid him out of ignorant fear. In his spare time Thomas feeds the sparrows the crust of his morning breakfast.

Galain Tol’Solie is a man of much experience. He’s traveled all the regions in his lifetime. It is all too easy to fall coward beneath his unyielding stare. He’d do anything for the men and women who follow beneath his command; he is not out to bring the crown’s downfall for himself, he loathes power, Galain desires peace amongst all races which cannot be given underneath the king’s rule. His intentions are not to kill. Galain only wants Cyprian to step down, but it has become apparent that it will not happen. He has mastery over the blades and is a renowned fighter. He’s a rough man who won’t put up with excuses, but he’ll treat you how you deserve.

Eternally fair and peaceful, Arimus has long since dwelled upon the earth. He has the power of foresight and his prophecies are legend. Though despite the rorret’s cry of aid he has chosen to ignore their request and instead remain neutral. Not all elves feel the same as some have joined the rorret, though most chose to stay amongst their race. He is known for hesitation before entering warfare (those of other races deem it cowardice). Arimus has a knack for wood carving.

As a young elf some have deemed Ruasel unwise for throwing herself into the midst of a human rebellion. But she feels it is a necessary thing to stand united as one against a forbidding foe. She has extrodinary talent with music (a strong part of elvish culture) and has a beautiful voice that carries notes sweet as honey. While living amongst the elves she performed songs for the king and anyone who asked to listen. She is kind, stern, and full of curious wonder.

The elder brother to Ruasel, Laertes is a bit of a snob. He is elegant but haughty and proud. He is one of the most gifted, known sorcerers and those of various races travel from all over in search of his potions. Despite his snide temperament Laertes thinks fondly of his little sister and cares for her deeply, even if he can’t properly express it. His overprotective instincts come off as cold and demanding. Though he acts as though Ruasel has betrayed him Laertes is quite saddened by his sister’s departure and worries for her. He is no good with a sword but quite crafty with a bow & arrow, as well as a short dagger.

Nionya weaves beautiful blankets, tapestries, and rugs that are blessed by the elves in special ceremonies. They sell fast at the market and are hard to get due to popularity. Nionya sells them cheap; she is a selfless woman who believes a payment of happiness is most suitable. She is one of the few elves who do not possess magic. It bothered her in youth but now she has grown to accept that her purpose is more complex; her fate rests entirely in her own hands. She alone must thread the strands. Soft-spoken and well mannered, Nionya is a delicate woman with extreme beauty even amongst the elves. But she is quite independent and is not afraid to stand up for herself.

Galanar is a kind elf though possesses an intimidating air; he is bulkier than most other slender elves. He cares greatly for honor though is not a prideful man. He knows when to accept defeat and when to be merciful. His demeanor is quite calm and Galanar does not excite easily. He goes by logic entirely and takes things too seriously. Human culture still, even after serving as an ambassador for nearly 100 years, confuses him. He once proclaimed himself neutral but has met with the rorret on a handful of occasions and is growing for their cause. He desires Arimus to lend even the smallest of aid.

Driven mad by the spirits who persistently tormented him, Raeggos fled from his kin seeking refuge in the arms of darkness. Wanting to clear his mind of the cruel whispers, manic with paranoia, he joined forces with the Cosa Nostra for drugs that give him violent peace. Before he strayed, Raeggos was an impulsive elf who was short of temper; he was impatient and irritable due to a lack of rest. Now he is coldblooded and unreasonable. He relishes in the suffering of others and finds that it fuels his sleepless body. Raeggos employs bloody tactics to kill his victims and will not hold back for anyone; man, woman, or child.

One of the oldest of the race, Pela has much experience in life and is thus a fair ruler. It is said her husband belonged to the undine before his untimely death. She keeps much of herself shrouded in mystery. Of all the rulers, no matter race, she is the most tolerant towards other ethnicities. Pela is very superstitious.

Roan greatly enjoys his human form and choses to stay in it. Because of this he cannot breathe fire and is more susceptible to injuries, but he is still capable of manipulating fire and has a wide range of burns to prove it. He has no real job within human society but hangs about the rorret headquarters causing chaos and prompting fights. Roan enjoys a good wrestle or two, but no one ever wants to be his opponent. He has a loud mouth that lacks a filter. He’s perverted, vulgar, and brutally honest. But deep down he’s a good guy who you can trust. You’ll be glad if he’s on your side, believe it.

He loathes the elves and humans, believing them inferior; though he pities the shifters. His mother often rebukes him on his fiery and impulsive ways. He hates having to cool down in a humanoid form and would rather rot in heat than morph.
